I’m Adam Swainsbury, a London-based documentary photographer. My work focuses on music and culture, blending observational storytelling with a bold, atmospheric style. Whether I’m covering concerts, events or behind-the-scenes moments, I aim to capture expressive images that show people doing what they love. Alongside my freelance practice, I’ve worked with Wonderland Magazine, Soccer Aid, UAL, multiple festivals, musicians and creative organisations across the UK.
My work has been shortlisted for the 'Abbey Road Music Photography Awards' 2025 for the 'Underground Scenes' category, and I had my photos exhibited at Outernet London. I also achieved 'Highly Commended' at 'The Photography Foundation Awards' 2024, and was a part of their winners exhibition at Leica Mayfair.
